The Space Beach Foundation presents
Future Fest Pop-Up
February 2026 | 240 Pine Avenue, Downtown Long Beach
Something is landing on Pine Avenue.
For the month of February, we’re taking over 236 Pine to create a space that’s part art gallery, part classroom, and part community clubhouse. It’s a place where the high-tech world of "Space Beach" finally meets the street.
We’re keeping the full schedule under wraps for just a little longer, but here is a glimpse of what’s coming:

-
Space as Canvas: An exhibition of space-inspired art featuring works from expeditionary artist and analog astronaut Richelle Ellis and other voices from the new space age.
-
The Sounds of the Future: Live music and DJ sets that bridge the gap between 60s wonder and 80s New Wave.
-
A Place to Think: Workshops, artist talks, and community meetups where science and culture collide.
-
Open Access: We’ll be open to the public several days a week, with additional hours by appointment for those who want a deeper look.
Why are we doing this?
The Space Beach Foundation was born to ensure that the "Space 3.0" era is inclusive, local, and deeply human. We believe the future of space shouldn't just happen behind closed doors—it should happen in our neighborhoods.
Want to get involved?

We’re building the clubhouse, but you’re the ones who will make it a community. We want the weird ideas, the big dreams, and the local talent that makes Long Beach what it is. Whether you’re an artist, a scientist, or a neighbor who wants to help us decorate the block—we want to hear from you.
Use the form below to drop us a line. Artist proposals, volunteer hands, and "Space Parade" ideas are all officially encouraged.

Help us launch.
We are officially live, and we need your help to make this month-long activation a success!
Right now, an anonymous donor is matching every single contribution to the Foundation, dollar for dollar. Your support helps us keep the lights on at 236 Pine and keeps our programming accessible to everyone in Long Beach.
