THE SPACE BEACH FOUNDATION
The Space Beach Foundation is a new nonprofit organization whose purpose is to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation by building community at the intersection of space, science, art, and culture. Southern California is a unique geographical area with a celebrated history of aerospace innovation. Through public programming, educational initiatives, and cultural collaborations, our goal is to foster curiosity and innovation, ensuring that the new space economy is inclusive, interdisciplinary, and rooted in the human experience.
Programming
Our first venture was a pop-up cultural festival in Long Beach we called Future Fest. In February, 2026, we turned an empty storefront on historic Pine Avenue into a space-themed art gallery. Anchored by a selection of works by artist and analog astronaut Richelle Ellis, Nathan Amondson, and others, we curated two weeks of programming and events in the space, as well as an off-site film premiere aboard the Queen Mary. We scheduled this to coincide with Space Beach Law Lab, an international conference our team has produced in Long Beach for three consecutive years.
