David Sirota
David is an investigative journalist, screenwriter, and founder of The Lever, a reader-supported news outlet exposing the forces shaping society. An Academy Award nominee for co-creating Don’t Look Up with Adam McKay, Sirota has also served as communications director for House Democrats and as speechwriter for Bernie Sanders’ 2020 campaign.
Don’t Look Up examined societal responses to global crises, revealing how media chaos distorts critical issues. Drawing on his expertise in politics and economics, Sirota offers a unique perspective on the future of space policy and international collaboration.
As a keynote speaker, he will explore how space exploration is portrayed in culture and how lessons from global challenges can shape its future.
